Temples of Kajuraho - Travel Photos

Welcome to my Travel Photography Lens. Khajuraho in India is a notorious tourist and archaeological site celebrated for its wonderfully sculptured temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Jain patriarchs. Both in inside and outside of the temples are splendidly carved with admirable sculptures that are commonly sensual and, at times, sexually explicit. Present Khajuraho is an undersized village, serving the tourist trade with Hotels, Restaurants and an Airport. Khajuraho's name comes from the prevalence of khajur, or date palms, in the area.

Tipu Sultan of Mysore

"It is far better to live for two days like a lion than for two hundred hears like a lamb." These valiant words came from the lips of Tipu Sultan, the famed martyr in the cause of freedom. His own life established the truth of this statement. He brawled like a lion against the British for safeguarding India's freedom and died like a lion on the battle field.
